This Privacy Policy explains how Restock ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our inventory management service ("Service").
1. Information We Collect
Account information
When you sign up we collect your name and email address. If you subscribe to a paid plan we collect billing information (processed by Stripe — we do not store card details).
Inventory data
All inventory items, stock counts, categories, and related data you enter are stored on our servers. This data belongs to you.
Usage data
We collect anonymised usage metrics (page views, feature usage, errors) to improve the Service. This data cannot be used to identify you individually.
Staff form submissions
The staff inventory form is designed to require no login. We do not collect personal information from staff who submit counts. Submissions are associated with your organization, not with individual staff members.
Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and browser storage for authentication sessions. No third-party advertising cookies are used.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and improve the Service
- To send transactional emails (account verification, password reset, billing receipts)
- To send product updates and announcements (you can opt out at any time)
- To respond to support requests
We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.
3. Data Storage and Security
Data is stored on servers in the United States (Neon PostgreSQL, hosted on AWS). We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (TLS), encrypted data at rest, and access controls.
4. Data Retention
- Active account data is retained as long as your account exists.
- After account deletion, data is permanently removed within 30 days.
- Backups may retain data for up to an additional 30 days.
5. Your Rights
Depending on your location you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Export your data in a portable format

6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the Service:
